Another year full of travels is beginning for our organization, which has scheduled activities across the corners of Greece! From Crete and Chalki to Mytilene, Lemnos and Corfu, we are expected to visit these places to reaffirm our support for the members of the Blue Municipalities Network, which continues to grow and now represents six regions of Greece.
It will be a long journey throughout 2025, expected to conclude this coming December with multifaceted and meaningful actions. These initiatives are part of European programs and holistic pilot projects being implemented in the network’s member areas. They include interventions related to cleanups, education, research, primary data production, and consultations with local communities.
On this journey, we are also expecting to welcome many new volunteers who are gradually joining our operational team in order to receive field training and develop relevant knowledge.
2025 marks eight years of work, with over 120 actions carried out across Greece, implemented exclusively by volunteers. This fact brings us great joy and emotion, as the number of citizens eager to contribute continues to grow, clearly demonstrating the increasing importance of civil society.
