The General Assembly of the Blue Municipalities Network was successfully held in Rhodes as part of the annual conference of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece. Aegean Rebreath, as the network’s manager, was present to coordinate and support the procedures!
Seventeen mayors had the opportunity to evaluate the network’s achievements, discuss future steps, and set new goals. As part of the review, Aegean Rebreath played a central role, presenting a comprehensive overview of activities implemented in cleanup operations, educational programs, research activities, pilot projects, the operation of marine litter collection stations and the use of funding instruments.
The General Assembly can be seen as a milestone, as network members not only reaffirmed their support for the network but also expressed their intent to further strengthen efforts to expand its work. During this meeting, we were pleased to welcome the Municipality of Halki as a new member of the network.
