AEGEAN REBREATH is committed to eliminating incidents of harassment and/ or bullying among members/employees/volunteers/trainees during the operational activities, in order to ensure a working environment where the dignity and well-being of all Individuals is respected.

All Individuals bear the responsibility of ensuring that the working field will remain free of harassment and bullying by controlling their behaviour and showing respect to each other. This includes accepting different cultural backgrounds, styles and values and embracing cultural diversity.

To support this policy, the Organisation:

  • Communicates this policy as well as any relevant information regarding forms of harassment and bullying to all members/employees/volunteers/trainees
  • Provides necessary training and familiarisation to all Individuals with respect to these issues, both before and after joining the Organisation, through various methods
  • Provides examples of the types of behavior that may be classified or interpreted as harassment and bullying
  • Considers as Cyber Bulling any form or use of modern communication technologies to harass, embarrass, humiliate, threaten, or intimidate an individual in an attempt to gain power and control over them
  • Actively encourages members/employees/volunteers/trainees to bring incidents to its attention without delay, including incidents that affect others, and provides clear and precise guidance to enable reporting such incidents
  • Implements fair procedures for dealing promptly with complaints from members/employees/volunteers/trainees, so as to ensure that all parties involved in a complaint are treated with equality, fairness and confidentiality

In addition, the Organisation has designated Mr. Prodromos Lilitsis as the person responsible to act as the first point of reference for each Individual who wishes to make a formal complaint or receive support. Any such incident shall be addressed to the attention of the aforementioned person, at [email protected].

All incidents of harassment and bullying shall be dealt promptly and objectively, in accordance with the relevant internal procedures of the Organisation.

Adherence to this policy is a prerequisite for joining the Organisation and its activities. Perpetrators who fail to comply with this policy shall face all potential consequences, as provided for in the Organisation’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, as well as any other applicable regulations.
