Restoration of Posidonia meadows
Our next stop is Sitia (Crete), in order to assist in the important effort to restore Posidonia meadows as part of the Artemis Interreg Euro-MED program. Our goal was the removal of waste that had been left behind by a fish farming unit that used to operate in the area. A difficult mission, a long journey that, however, rewarded us thanks to the support of the Municipality of Sitia and the local fishermen.
