The “heart” of Aegean Rebreath may beat in the ports and reefs of Greece, but the time has come for the organization to establish a permanent base in Athens!
To properly celebrate this new step, we chose to hold an opening ceremony for the office, inviting members of the organization and people who have supported our work in various ways. More than 60 people honored us with their presence in an atmosphere filled with emotion and warmth! It was emotional because, after nearly 8 years, the organization’s volunteers now have their own space. At the same time, after 4 months of personal work, another key goal of the team has been achieved!
The inauguration ceremony was simple and modest, and the team members shared their views on the creation of the office and the changes it will bring to the organization’s daily operations. Everyone emphasized that this positive development comes at a time when the organization’s work has significantly expanded at both national and European level — a fact that brings greater responsibilities and needs.
The office is located in the Municipality of Ιmittos, where the organization’s mobile units and equipment storage facilities are also based, enabling immediate coordination. We hope this new endeavor marks the beginning of even greater achievements!
