Some good and some bad news from our last weekend in Schinias-Marathon National Park. We had an awesome turnout from all our incredible Aegean Rebreath volunteers, with the support of Advocate Europe!
The degree of civic responsibility was inspiring and we had a great time together. But the amount of rubbish and pollution that people leave behind made us concerned. This incredibly important ecosystem was strewn with litter.
We have to do better. We spoke with local residents and organized clean ups in three different areas. Step by step and mission by mission, we’re changing minds and behaviour and restoring marine environments.
