An introductory initiative in Chalkidiki

We traveled 1,750 km within a week, from Pylos and Kalamata to Nea Moudania in Chalkidiki. An introductory one-day initiative in a particularly polluted area. Our findings were disappointing as huge amounts of marine litter were recovered from the seabed in another tourist area where a large number of fishing boats are docked. The positive fact is that the municipal authorities showed from the very beginning, an increased interest to join Blue Municipalities Network in order to deal with the problem that is hidden on the seabed.
